Today, we can indulge in this divine treat more easily, and one of my favorite ways to do so is through a rich and creamy Chocolate Fondue. It’s a delightful experience that brings people together, reminiscent of cozy gatherings and shared laughter.
Ingredients
- 🍫 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped
- 🧴 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 🍯 2 tablespoons honey
- 🍊 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 🧂 Pinch of salt
- 🍓 Assorted dippers:
- 🍓 Strawberries
- 🍌 Banana slices
- 🍍 Pineapple chunks
- 🍏 Apple slices
- 🍪 Cookies
Instructions
- Melt the Chocolate:
- In a heatproof bowl, combine the chopped semi-sweet chocolate and heavy cream.
- Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) and stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Alternatively, you can microwave the mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
- Add Flavorings:
- Stir in the honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- Serve:
- Transfer the melted chocolate to a fondue pot or a heatproof bowl to keep it warm.
- Arrange your chosen dippers around the chocolate.
- Use fondue forks or skewers to dip your favorite treats into the warm, creamy chocolate.
